Cyprus Association of Automotive Engineer Assessors

Ο ΛΟΓΟΣ ΠΛΗΡΗΣ ΧΑΡΙΤΟΣ ΚΑΙ ΑΛΗΘΕΙΑΣ

An applicant may become a member of the association according to his/her academic skills, qualifications and experience in the motor industry also has to mainly exercise the profession of the Automotive Engineer Assessor as independent or employed by a company. With whatever other activities he is involved there must not be any conflict of interest.

 The independent Assessors according to their membership grade, can act on behalf of any interested party like Insurance companies, Legal firms, Government or private individuals.

The internal Assessors regardless of their membership grade can only act on behalf of their employer.

There are two categories of members and five grades (two in the first and three in the second category).

1. Category of Member

  1. Student Members
    Applicants are required to have a three-year full-time course in Automotive Engineering diploma or degree. In this grade they can remain for five years, which in this period they can study in order to pass the written examination for the certificate of Automotive Engineer Assessor of the CAAEA.

  2. Graduate Members
    Applicants are student members who have the certificate of Automotive Engineer Assessor of the CAAEA. In this grade member remain for two years for practical training in the field of vehicle assessment.

 

2. Category of Approved member

  1. Associate Members
    Applicants who are over 25 years old, are required to have a three-year full-time course in Automotive Engineering diploma or degree and the certificate of Automotive Engineer Assessor of the CAAEA or from another association / institute which is a member of FIEA and two years practical experience in the field of vehicle assessment.

  2. Full Member
    Applicants are Approved members who were for five years as Associate Members.

  3. Fellow Member
    Any successful member who has offered special services to the Association is eligible for this grade after a nomination of the Board Members and approval at the general assembly.
